Dear Kindergarten Families,

This will be a busy week! Much to do as we prepare our hearts for love, forgiveness and prayer. Christian life and scripture leads us to Matthew 18:35; where Jesus says, “forgive others from your heart.”  On Thursday we will attend the Stations of the Cross at 2:00. As always come join us if your schedule permits.

ELA – opening up with a new theme, Wheels Go Around a focus on blending and segmenting cvc words, sounds for letters Dd and Zz, short vowel /i/, reading strategies: summarize; comprehension skills: test organization and summarizing; vocabulary: opposites, position words,  parts of a car, and travel. Writing: informational skills, Palmisano Writing contest, and preparation for the School Fair.

EM – continuing on with measurement using standard and non-standard units; a look at scale with inches and feet; graphing; and counting by 5’s.

Science –  landforms – animals and habitats

Social Studies – Black History Month booklet – famous American inventors

Primary Centers on Friday with a noon dismissal – I could use a few more parents/grandparents …

This should take us through the week!

God Bless your families

Mrs. Carol Brown
