Dear Kindergarten families,
This week we will begin to use Spelling City’s website to spell our sight words. On home page in site – find “search” (blue) tab along top. Click on schools type in “Sacred Heart Elementary School”- click to find “registered teachers” you will see my name – click for sight word lists. Start with list one. Explore and use games to help with spelling. (promotion ads come up- you do not need to join or pay this site to find our words).
In class spelling tests will begin next week and continue through the end of the year. We had a practice test on Wednesday with half of the words in list one. You child did an excellent job – spelling and printing neatly. 🙂
In your child’s red folder you will find:
1. EM Home Connection booklet 4 will come home -please use this to reinforce math skills at home. Return booklet 3 with signature for a sticker.
2. Practice printing the five sight words on paper provided.
