The 6th grade is concluding their study of Ancient Greece. The last part we learn about is all the contributions from the Greeks. This includes great mathematicians such as Euclid and Pythagoras. Today one of the math teachers came into class for a special lesson on Pythagorean Theorem. She explained right angles, hypotenuse, and variables. Best of all in 7th grade they will review this and apply it to everyday examples! We are all impressed that the ancient Greeks were practicing this math 2,000 years ago.

The 6th grade is now finishing the unit with reports and plays that will be viewed next week and then we march into Rome!
