Hello Third Grade Families,

This week the class will go on our third and last field trip of the year! On Tuesday, we will be leaving first thing in the morning to the Chumash Museum in Thousand Oaks. We will be eating lunch at the Museum, so I ask that students pack a sack lunch in a disposable (preferably ziplock or other plastic, non-leaking) bag with your child’s name clearly written on the front. Finally all students should wear their uniforms for this special outing.

In class…

Math: We will finish Unit 6 this week. The Unit “Progress Check” (read: test) will take place next Tuesday, March 10th. As always, see the Home Links at www.everydaymathonline.com for extra practice and review. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner.

For IXL this week, students are to complete the following third grade skills:

R.2 Which 2D shape is being described?

C.6 Add three numbers up to three digits each.

D.9 Subtraction: fill in the missing digits.
